Sunday night storm causes damage in Lexington County
Severe weather and possible tornadoes in Lexington County resulted in downed trees, power outages and structural damage Sunday night
In Lexington County, there was a report of a roof torn from a house in an area north of Interstate 20 and west of Highway 6. And a tree fell on an house on David Lane close to the Town of Lexington. A column was blown over and left leaning at the Red Bank First Baptist Church.
In Richland County, a tree fell through a house on Skyland Drive, off Greystone Boulevard and and north of the Riverbanks Zoo exit on Interstate 126, according to the Columbia Fire Department.
There was also a report of trees fallen on homes on Betsy Drive and Price Street. There were no people in the homes at the time of the incident.
There were power outages and tornado warnings that came with the storm, too.
High temperatures are expected to be in the middle to upper 50s, Monday. Tuesday, highs will be in the middle 50s.
A hard freeze is predicted for Wednesday and possibly Thursday overnight.

7:11pm: possible tornado just WNW of Columbia Metro Airport moving east towards the airport and Oak Grove vicinity. Take cover!
