Fire damaged two units of the Delta Motel in West Columbia Monday morning.

The fire occurred around 5 a.m. according to the West Columbia Fire Department. The Delta Motel is on Augusta Road, across from Walmart.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Volunteers from the American Red Cross are assisting. The Red Cross is helping seven people by providing financial assistance for food, clothing, lodging and other essentials, and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items.
