Lexington County deputies are investigating a shooting incident that took place Sunday morning in the 200 block of Whiteford Way, in Lexington.

According to the department, a woman was transported to the hospital early Sunday morning with a gunshot wound. Her  wound is not life-threatening, according to a LCSD report.

There have been no arrests or charges filed in relation to the case. LCSD said the investigation is ongoing, but officers are not currently searching for a suspect or person of interest at this time.
