Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle, Sunday.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of Leaphart Road in West Columbia.

According to Coroner Fisher, Ms. Kathy Diane Altman, 53, of Lugoff was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision. The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, stopped at the scene to render aid.
