Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a vehicle collision.  It occurred on Shore Road near Belle Lindler Road in Gilbert at 12:15 p.m., Monday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Luke Matthews King, 59, of Gilbert, was pronounced dead at the scene. King was traveling northbound on Shore Road when his vehicle left the right side of the road and collided with a tree. The coroner reported that King was not wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred.

The collision is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
