3 arrested in Lexington County on child pornography and related charges
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced, Thursday, the arrest of Robert Wilden Geiger (age 34) of Pelion, Taz Michael Johnson (age 22) of Swansea, and Katherine Louise Chatten (age 19) of Lexington, on nine charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators, with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, made the arrests.
Investigators state Geiger and Johnson sent nude images to minor victims.Johnson also engaged in sexual activity with minor victims. Chatten engaged in sexual activity with a minor victim and engaged in the production of child pornography.
Johnson was arrested on Sept. 25. He is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree and one count of disseminating obscene material to a person under age eighteen, a felony offense punishable by up to ten years imprisonment.
Geiger was arrested on Sept. 27. He is charged with three counts of disseminating obscene material to a person under age 18, a felony offense punishable by up to ten years imprisonment on each count.
Chatten was arrested on Sept. 27.
She is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree; and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment.
These cases will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
