West Columbia issues Hurricane Florence Information, Riverwalk closing Thursday

The City of West Columbia is closing the Wyman M. “Mac” Rish Riverwalk and Amphitheater on Thursday, September 13, at noon, ahead of the arrival of Hurricane Florence. The City expects residents and visitors to stay out of the park and river for their safety and that of first responders.

Sanitation will run normal routes on Thursday, Sept. 13. Due to projected high winds and rain, residents are urged to take precaution by securing loose objects, such as roll carts, and recycling bins by bringing them inside after the scheduled pickup.

The most up-to-date information leading up to and throughout Hurricane Florence can be found on our website (westcolumbiasc.gov) or on social media (Twitter & Instagram: @westcolumbiasc; Facebook: City of West Columbia).
