Chapin Labor Day Parade kicks off state’s political season
The Labor Day parade was held in Chapin Monday morning . It’s the traditional kick-off to the political season. This year there a gubernatorial race in South Carolina, along with the election of the state’s Constitutional officers. There general election is in November.
There were 95 floats in the Chapin Parade and thousands lined the srteets to see them pass by. The parade was part of a weekend-long of festivities that began in Chapin on Friday evening, and ended Monday afternoon.
