Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified a body recovered from a pond in the 100 block of Pale Ivy Lane at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to Fisher, the body of Mr. Tao Gao, 42, of Irmo was recovered by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team. No foul play is suspected at this time;
however, an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday  to determine the cause of Gao’s death.

The Irmo Police Department is investigating.
