Crews in Lexington, West Columbia and Lexington County respond to storm
First responders were out in West Columbia Thursday. Public works crews were on the scene of a fallen tree in the Saluda Gardens area of the city.
The West Columbia Fire Department assisted Lexington County Fire Services at a residential fire Thursday morning. A train was stopped in Lexington County because the tracks may be damaged.
Due to the traffic signal being out at Sunset Blvd. and Northside Blvd., Northside Blvd. from Ginny Lane was closed.
Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies went door-to-door checking on residents off Lockner Road. The area flooded during Tropical Storm Michael. There have been no reported injuries.
A tree fell across the 2600 block of Mineral Springs Road has the road closed.
Industrial Drive at Wildlife Road was affected by flood waters. South Lake Drive near Roberts Street was closed while SCDOT removed a tree that fell on a power line.
