City of West Columbia pleased with results of job fair
The need for quality personnel is at a high level.
The City of West Columbia held a job fair Tuesday in the New Brookland Room at the West Columbia City Hall
West Columbia Police Department Assistant Chief Scott Morrison said he was pleased with the turnout of job-seekers. Assistant Fire Chief Marquis Solomon said the response was “great” and there was a diverse group interested in working for the WCFD.
Ryan Miles, of the West Columbia Public Works Department, said he was “optimistic” with the number of people interested in working for the department.
Positions being recruited are: Police Officer; Firefighter; Water Systems Maintenance Worker – Water Treatment Plant 2; Equipment Operator – Parks Department; CDL Driver – Sanitation Department Equipment Operator – Water Distribution; Code Compliance Manager – Code Enforcement
