Autopsy report released on woman, 20, found dead off near Platt Springs Road

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher stated Saturday there is no indication of foul play based on preliminary findings of the autopsy of Kyrstin Star Blackburn. She was found dead in a wooded area off of Platt Springs Road Friday.

In a release from the coroner’s office Fisher stated that there were no “obvious” indications of foul play, but the cause of Blackburn’s death remains under investigation. Further results, including the toxicology report, are pending.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department opened a missing person case on Blackburn Tuesday morning.

During the effort to locate her, investigators found her body in a wooded area off Platt Springs Road Friday morning. No arrests have been made in connection to the missing person case.
Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding her death.
