Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Bannister died of natural causes, says coroner
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the findings of the investigation into the death of U.S. Army Major General Jeffrey Bannister. Bannister was residing in Lexington at the time of his death on Sunday.
According to Fisher, Bannister, 57, died due to natural causes. There were no suspicious circumstances or indications of foul play related to his death. An Army report said Bannister was running at the time of his death.
