City of West Columbia employees participated in the Backhoe Rodeo, Monday. The competition was held at the B Avenue Community Center. It included the use of heavy machinery to perform precise maneuvers, like picking up an egg and pouring liquid from small containers.

Chris Cranford was the winner of the rodeo. Ashton Miles placed second in the competition, and third place went to Derek Cothran.  Cranford move on to compete in the regional Backhoe Rodeo, and if he wins, he will move on to the final state competition.
