Jeffrey Curry, 49, of Gaston was arrested on Monday and charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon.  Mr. Curry’s arrest stems from an incident at 2125 Commerce Drive in Cayce in which Curry shot a firearm into a motel room occupied by two people and struck one of them.  The victim is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

The Cayce Department of Public Safety would also like to thank the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in locating Curry and taking him into custody.
