The West Columbia Beautification Foundation received a $5,000 donation from Soda City Friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Emile DeFelice presented Mayor Bobby Horton with the check to accept on behalf of the Foundation at the City of West Columbia Regular Council Meeting.

The donation will be used to continue the beautification of West Columbia through plantings along Sunset Boulevard and for other beautification projects throughout the City. Funds for the donation were from proceeds of the 2017 Gervais Street Bridge Dinner ticket sales that will be held on October 22, 2017. The Foundation is one of the charities that ticket sales benefit.
