No plans to sell Davis or Taylor buildings for housing
Things will look a little different in the upcoming school year for some Lexington Two students.
Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology and Taylor Elementary School students will move to the new Cayce Elementary School for the 2017/18 school year. Cayce Elementary School is being built next to Busbee Creative Arts Academy on Bulldog Boulevard off the 12th Street Extension.

With those students migrating to the new elementary school, the buildings of Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology and Taylor Elementary School will be used for transition sites during construction at Saluda River Academy for the Arts and Springdale Elementary School. Saluda River and Springdale will be undergoing major upgrades, and the students from those schools will attend school at the Davis and Taylor buildings for the 2017/18 school year.
After Davis and Taylor serve the purpose as the temporary home for Saluda River and Springdale students, no plans have been made. But those buildings will be put to good use.
Lexington Two officials do confirm that there are no permanent plans for use of Davis and/or Taylor. However the District has a commitment that the use of both facilities will be beneficial to the community. Both schools will remain subject to City of Cayce restrictions, and there is no plan to sell either school for any type housing.
