Boo Boo, dog stolen in car is returned
Boo Boo’s back home and all is well.
Debrah Boulanger’s dog “Boo Boo” was in the car of a friend, when the car was stolen from the Triangle City area in West Columbia on June 10.
With Boo Boo, a brown Chihuahua missing, the West Columbia Police Department announced that the car, and Boo Boo, had been stolen. They were looking for the suspected car thief and the dog.

“We spread it on social media in hopes of finding Boo Boo, and the car” said Scott Morrison, West Columbia’s assistant police chief.
On Sunday a dog matching Boo Boo’s description turned up near a store in Sumter. The people who found the dog knew Boo Boo had been missing from the report Morrison had shared.
“We had to make sure it was Boo Boo,” Morrison said. He said Boo Boo had a chip with his owner’s information, and the dog was identified through the chip.
With the positive identification, Boo Boo was brought back to West Columbia and reunited with a very grateful Boulanger.
We were pleased to get them back together,” Morrison said of the reunion of Boo Boo and Boulanger.
Morrison said the car theft is still being investigated by the WCPD- and the car has not been recovered yet. It is a white four-door Honda Accord, Tag No. 8279DP.
