Cayce Department of Public Safety officers are blocking off an area near the large bridge by SCANA and the Timmerman Trail because there is a large alligator in the area. As an extra layer of protection for our citizens, officers have closed the area until further notice. City of Cayce Spokeswoman Ashley Hunter sent a release warning of the alligator Saturday morning.
