West Columbia woman arrested in fatal DUI case

A 52-year-old woman has been charged with felony DUI after a fatal collision in Lexington County Sunday. Arrest made

Catherine Crumley, of West Columbia, went across the center line and sideswiped an SUV and then hit a motorcycle head-on, according to Lance Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Larry Edgar Williams, 65, of West Columbia died at the scene from the injuries he received in the accident, said Lexington County Coroner Margret Fisher. Crumley was  driving a 2005 Suzuki SUV. She was arrested and charged with felony DUI, according to Jones.

The accident occurred about 11:50 a.m. on Sunday in the 700 block of Old Barnwell Road in Lexington County.

Williams and other SUV were travelling west on Old Barnwell Road and Crumley was moving east when the crash occurred, according to the the S.C. Highway Patrol.
