The S.C. Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) recognized, at the Lexington County Council meeting, Tuesday, three emergency response team members for exceptional efforts.
Those recognized were nominated by the Lexington County Public Safety Department. The LCPS Director is David Kerr. He introduced those recognized Tuesday.
The personnel recognized are: Lt. Robert Sharpe from the West Columbia Police Department; Capt. Antoine Kelly of the Lexington County Fire Service; and Paramedic David Hudon, local EMT.
Bill Havlin, VFW state commander, said regardless of conditions, emergency personnel is always on the scene to help protect the community.
