Irmo man arrested on child pornography charges
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Brian C. Pierce, 28, of Irmo., on 14 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest. Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office assisted with the arrest.
Investigators state Pierce distributed images of child pornography.
Pierce was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with fourteen counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s office.
Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
