AT&T Fiber is now available in parts of Cayce
AT&T Fiber is now available in parts of Cayce.
“The 100 percent fiber network from AT&T will contribute to our growing economy and high quality of life in Cayce,” said Cayce Mayor Elise Partin. “Access to high-speed internet will help create new jobs, grow small businesses and improve access to educational opportunities.”
The Columbia area is one of 51 metro areas nationwide where AT&T’s ultra-fast internet service is currently available. AT&T announced last month that ultra-fast internet speeds, via its fiber network, were being offered in Columbia and parts of Richland County. The service was expanded to Irmo, too.
ATT&T representatives said in a press release last week the plan is to reach at least 67 metro areas with the company’s fastest Internet service.
The release also stated that AT&T is now offering a 1 gigabit connection2 on the 100 percent fiber network powered by AT&T FiberSM.
In addition to the homes and small businesses connected to the fiber network in the Columbia region, AT&T has connected 15 area apartment and condo properties. AT&T says “ultra-fast” fiber network expanded to Cayce and Irmo.
