At Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology in Cayce, students help each other.
On Friday mornings Davis conducts “Book Buddies.”

“The second-graders read to the kindergarten students,” said Dr. Cecil McClary, Davis principal, explaining Book Buddies. He said the kindergarten students anticipate the time to spend with the second-graders. The second-graders love it, too.
“The second-graders love to read and the younger students look forward to Book Buddies all week,” McClary said. “It helps the kindergarten students love books and reading.”
