A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held Tuesday for Brookland.
Brookland is the multi-million-dollar residential, commercial and retail development planned for four acres at State and Meeting streets in West Columbia.

West Columbia Mayor Bobby Horton said West Columbia was once named “Brookland” and we are “embracing Brookland again.”

Teresa Hodges said Brookland will be a “landmark” project. Matt Mundy said it will be a vibrant center for activity, that will attract more development to the area. Hodges and Mundy are with Estate and Co., the developers of Brookland. Construction is expected to start very soon, Hodges said.
