The Lexington Police Department is investigating an overnight D.U.I. related traffic collision. The crash resulted in the death of a driver in one of the two vehicles involved.

Officers of the Lexington Police Department responded to a collision with injuries that occurred near the 4200 block of Sunset Boulevard, in Lexington, at approximately 11:12 p.m.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved died from injuries sustained during the collision.

During the course of the investigation it was found that the driver who police said caused the collision, by failing to stop for a signal light, was intoxicated.

This driver was identified as Nicole Marie Wilson of Lexington. Wilson was transported to the Lexington County Detention Center and charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence Involving Death.
