The exterior of Brookland-Cayce High School was on lock down Thursday morning.

Students and staff were held inside the school as a precaution while units from the Cayce Public Safety Department looked for a suspect in the Frink Street area of Cayce.

There was no direct threat according to a message from school officials. The school was given an all-clear before noon Thursday, and all was back to normal.
