Did you see – or hear- a helicopter flying low in West Columbia Wednesday?
The helicopter is part of power line work being done by SCE&G and its contractors. At times traffic on Sunset Boulevard was halted as the helicopter crew strung line from one newly installed, high-capacity power pole to another.
SCE&G is adding 320 miles of new transmission lines. The work is the result of SCE&G’s new nuclear reactor construction at V.C. Summer Station (Jenkinsville in Fairfield County.)
