The Grand Reopening of Guignard Park is at 11 a.m. Saturday. The park sits just off of Knox-Abbott Drive in Cayce. The city will hold a grand reopening ceremony. The park is reopening after undergoing multiple improvements over the past year.

Cayce Mayor Elise Partin and District 1 Councilwoman Tara Almond will be playing the first games on the new concrete Ping-Pong table.  Everyone is invited to  this free, family-friendly event. City officials want  residents to join in the fun and enjoy the many new features Guignard Park has to offer.

Partin will speak speaking at the ceremony. And local artists will be on the site from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. showcasing and selling their work. The Cayce Avenues Association will be grilling hot dogs for guests. There will be guided walks showcasing the improvements to the park, too.

Park Improvements to the park include:
· New ADA compliant sidewalks for access throughout the park
· New benches, picnic tables, and trash cans
· Reclaimed brick pavers for the entrance and various seating areas
· New retaining wall along the creek and creek stabilization
· New picnic shelter and improved existing picnic shelters
