Man arrested in double shooting at Lake Murray apartments
Lexington County deputies arrested a man early Tuesday morning in connection with a double shooting that happened Monday night at Lake Murray apartment complex.
Tashonby Pedrick Wilson, 31, is charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of illegally possessing a firearm during a violent crime and one count of the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to arrest warrants.
“Based on information gathered during our investigation, Wilson fired shots that struck two females at an apartment in Boardwalk Villas,” Sheriff Jay Koon said. “Detectives believe Wilson knew both of the victims.”
Koon said both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment and are expected to recover from their injuries.
Wilson, a resident of Irmo, was arrested at a Columbia motel with assistance from Richland County deputies.
He’s being held in the Lexington County Detention Center after a judge denied bond Tuesday morning.
“Our investigation into this shooting is still open,” Koon said. “We’re asking anyone with information to share tips with us by calling Crimestoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.”
