Chelsea Billings, a third-grade teacher at BC Grammar School No. 1, was named “Teacher of the Week” by WLTX-TV News 19. Billings has been teaching three years.

She said her job as a teacher is “a dream come true.”

Billings also said building relationships and showing she loves and and cares about children are keys to her approach in the classroom.

After she was surprised by the News 19 News crew and BC Grammar Principal Christopher Dickey, Billings said: “It made my day.”
