Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who was found dead in West Columbia at approximately 7:30 a.m.  on Thursday. The name of the person found dead is Michael Andy McMillan, 30,  of Columbia. Double Branch Road is between Sunset Boulevard and Greenwood Road.

His body was found in the 1600 block of Double Branch Road in West Columbia.

Fisher said an autopsy will be performed on Friday. The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department
