The 2016-17 School Year opens for Lexington School District 2, Thursday.

Almost 9,000 students will begin classes at the district’s 16 schools in Cayce, West Columbia Pine Ridge and South Congaree. In addition to busses carrying thousands of children to school- parents who drop-off and pick-up will be on the road too after the summer break. Law enforcement officials are alerting drivers to rule regarding school busses.
