The West Columbia Police Department extended the hours until 10 p.m. for Pokè Monday at the West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater every Monday. It looks like more than 20 showed up to play.

“We wanted to extend park hours on this special night to assist people in capturing the elusive monsters they can only get at night around bodies of water. We wanted to create a more conducive environment for people to play Pokémon Go instead of individuals coming down by themselves while the park is closed,” said Chief Dennis Tyndall.
