The City of West Columbia responded to a sewer overflow at the sewer pump station located on the 1500 Block of Charleston Highway on Sunday. The overflow entered a storm drain, which impacted a tributary to the Congaree River near Monkey Springs Branch.

Crews stopped the overflow entering the tributary and are continuing to work on the pump station. There are no current overflows into the storm drain.
