According to Lance Cpl. Matt Southern of the SC. Highway Patrol, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, traveling north on Fish Hatchery Road near Pelion, ran off the right side of the road. The motorcycle hit a culvert, throwing the rider off. The driver died at the scene, according to Southern. The driver was not wearing a helmet. The accident occurred around 11:50 p.m.
