Micah Caskey defeats Tem Miles in SC House Seat 89 race for GOP
Micah Caskey – of Springdale- has been declared the winner over West Columbia Councilman Tem Miles in SC House Seat 89 GOP run-off race. With 100% of the precincts reporting, Caskey had 1,505 votes to 724 for Miles.
Caskey will face Rosemounda “Peggy” Butler, a Democrat, and Constitution Party Candidate Robert Lampley in the November general election.
The seat was held by Rep. Kenny Bingham (R-Cayce) and covers Cayce, West Columbia and Springdale. Caskey is a veteran – serving in Afghanistan as a Marine- and he is a prosecutor in the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
Caskey and Miles were the run-off candidates after the June 14, primary. Bill Banning and Billy Oswald ran as Republican candidates.
