Dignitaries, company officials, growers and vendors gathered just outside Batesburg-Leesville Wednesday. House of Raeford cut the ribbon on its new $16-million, 63,000-sq.ft. hatchery. It’s a state of the art facility that replaces an older operation. House of Raeford’s Columbia Farms is the largest employer in the City of West Columbia. The hatchery officially opens for service June 22.
