Calks Ferry Road crash results in felony DUI charge, Friday
A man has been charged with felony driving under the influence with great bodily injury.
Guy Collins, 39, is accused of running a stop sign, Friday afternoon, and hitting another vehicle, with such force it split the vehicle that was hit in two, according to David Jones of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The collision took place about 1 p.m. on Calks Ferry Road in Lexington County.
There were two people in other vehicle and they were seriously injured. One of them was airlifted to a Columbia hospital and the other was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
