Officers with the Springdale Police Department have made numerous arrests recently.
Officers stopped a vehicle traveling on Platt Springs Road, on May 26, for traffic violations.
During that stop officers located a firearm that was not being carried lawfully by the driver. Further investigation revealed that the gun was stolen. The driver was arrested for an unlawful firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
Officers made contact with a man on Pinedale Road, on May 27. He was wanted by a local agency for burglary charges. Officers took the man into custody for those outstanding warrants.
Officers arrested a man on May 28 at a hotel on Airport Boulevard. The man, according to police, had previously lied about his identity. Officers returned after discovering he was wanted by an agency in Florida for a probation violation.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Tarrytown Lane, on May 29, That stopped in a driveway in an attempt to elude officers. The driver was wanted by a local agency for burglary and was taken into custody.
Officers also located drugs in the car. Officers found more than three grams of methamphetamine, over five grams of crushed pseudoephedrine, pills and marijuana. The driver will now also face additional charges for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, altering pseudoephedrine, possession of schedule II narcotics, possession of schedule IV narcotics, and possession of marijuana.
