The Lexington School District 2 Board of Trustees will hold the groundbreaking ceremony for one of the new schools Monday, April 18. It will take place at 5:30 p.m. The groundbreaking ceremony is at 12th Street Extension and Bulldog Boulevard in Cayce, near the campus of Busbee Creative Center for the Arts.

The School Board has approved the early site package and foundation installation for the new elementary school. The new school is being designed by Jumper, Carter, Sease to house the students from Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology and Taylor Elementary School. Thompson Turner is the general contractor chosen to build the new school.
