Investigators working to ID shoplifting suspect
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives have turned to the public for help in a shoplifting investigation.
Investigators are working to identify a man suspected of stealing items on March 25 at Palmetto State Armory’s Fernandina Road location.
Detectives said the white male suspect can be seen on store surveillance video placing an item into his pocket, then entering the store’s restroom with several other items, including fishing line and shirts. He left the store without making a purchase.
Store management said the retail value of the stolen items is more than $450.
According to investigators, the suspect is 30- to 35-years-old and he left the store parking lot as a passenger in an older, dark four-door car.
