West Columbia Man Arrested on Participating in the Prostitution of a Minor Charge
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Stephen Patrick Skacall (DOB: 1988) of West Columbia, on one (1) charge connected to the sexual exploitation of minors. The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), a member of the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, made the arrest. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, assisted in the arrest.
Investigators state that Skacall solicited minors for prostitution online.
Skacall was arrested on January 7, 2016. He is charged with one (1) count of Participating in the Prostitution of a Minor (§16-15-425), a felony offense punishable by up to five (5) years imprisonment.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
