West Columbia lights its Christmas Tree
West Columbia Mayor Bobby Horton delivered Christmas greetings and Joe Pinner, of WIS-TV, was the emcee as the City of West Columbia lighted its Christmas tree Friday at City Hall.
The Christmas Message was brought by Pastor Bill Drees, of First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Rev. Kenneth Taylor, of Turner Memorial A.M.E. Church, delivered the Christmas Prayer.
Singers from Saluda River Academy for the Arts (SRAA) sang and the River Bluff High School Jazz Band played Christmas songs.
Students Brooke Davis of Pineview Elementary, Madison Taylor of SRAA, Josue Soriano Cruz, of Brookland-Cayce Grammar No. 1, and Madison Bland of East Point Academy, provided Christmas stories and art for the ceremony.
