A good crowd came out for the 9-11 Run For Our Troops 5K, Friday. It was at the West Columbia Amphitheatre. The event was hosted by the Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees. Steve Cohen, business director for the Jaycees, said the crowd met expectations. He also praise the West Columbia Fire department and police, and the Cayce Public Safety Department for assistance in staging the run.  Jonathan Kinsey was the 5K winner, at 16:30, according to an unofficial report.
