Airport outscores Mid-Carolina, BC short versus Lexington in jamboree
Airport and Brookland-Cayce played Friday night at Chapin High School in the Aun and McKay Kickoff Classic jamboree. There were four games at Cecil Woolbright Field.
Airport scored 20 to 7 for Mid-Carolina in the pre-season matchup. Airport’s offense was productive. Wide receiver Tamon Nottingham scored two touchdowns and senior running back Jonathon Earl ran for another TD.
Lexington outscored Brookland-Cayce 21-9. Brookland-Cayce used a run approach in he pre-season warm-up session that consisted of only two quarters of football. BC ran the ball with senior quarterback Kozy Brown, senior running backs Charles Balkcom and Cam Brown on offense.
Batesburg-Leesville took on Blythewood and Chapin played against River Bluff.
Blythewood outscored Batesburg-Leesville 28-14 and Chapin took a 14-10 prevailed in its scrimmage with River Bluff 14-10
