Airport High School was honored by Friday for being local heroes in the fight against childhood cancer. The ceremony to honor the students took place at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.

Aflac presented a Duckprints Award to Airport High School, which raises money each year for childhood cancer. CAMP KEMO co-founder Linda Wells was also honored.

the Airport students, and Wells, were recognized for their significant contributions and support of the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.

The event was hosted by Todd Ellis voice of the Gamecocks, who has a child who is a cancer survivor.
