2 occupants escape car fire on I-26
Units from the Sandy Run-Calhoun Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on I-26 at the 125 mile marker west bound Tuesday morning at 4:12. Upon arrival, a vehicle was found to be fully engulfed in flames.
SRFD firefighters worked to put out the flames and the fire was fully extinguished in a few minutes. There were two occupants in the vehicle, but both were able to escape the vehicle without harm. EMS provided an on scene examination of both occupants. The SC Highway Patrol and sheriff’s deputies provided a traffic block at the scene so crews could operate.
