Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Peachland Drive and Highway 378 near Gilbert at approximately
noon. Wednesday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Cline David Taylor, 70, of Lexington was traveling northbound on Peachland Drive when he failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by another vehicle, driving westbound on Highway 378.

Mr. Taylor, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead due to the injuries sustained. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
