Heavy WCPD presence at house in West Columbia
Close to a dozen West Columbia Police units were at a house on Monticello Street in West Columbia after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Monticello Street is off of 12th Street near Jarvis Klapman Boulevard.
Other streets, a block from the home, were blocked off from through traffic by patrol cars. Armed law enforcement personnel, in vests, were on the porch and in the yard of the house.
West Columbia Police Chief Marion Boyce said the officers were “serving a search warrant on that street.”
